Shoot 6 - Fight Scene

These are some photos from our latest and probably most challenging shoot so far. The footage that we have filmed is going to be for our fight scene which is going to be near the end of our music video. This scene will feature our main character which is Charlie finally getting his revenge against his childhood bully. We are going to show the bullying scene near the beginning so that you can see the progress Charlie has made in order to fight his enemy.

The location which we used was an alley/underpass in Welling. We felt this location looked great as it reflects the background of our character and is a stereotypical location for a dark underground fight. All group members felt this location would give off the right impression therefore we went for it. The location also looks run down and dated which again is what we was looking for.

To make this footage look as realistic as possible we casted some extras to walk in with the bully so that it didn't look like the fight was set up and arranged. We felt that if Charlie was left alone he would also look like the under-dog which is also what we wanted to portray. We also wanted to used blood to again make this scene look realistic therefore we used golden syrup and red food colouring which mixed together acts as really good substitute for blood.

When at the location we did have a bit of trouble with the lighting on the camera nevertheless we made the most of the time that we had and definitely captured some worthy footage which is going to be included in the final piece. We made sure that we got shots of both of the fighters from different angles for editing purposes. We will have to re-visit the location in the near future to shoot some extras shots for our CCTV footage scene which will cut in-between the fight scene to show it from different perspectives.
