When we started thinking about changing our logo I decided to carry out some research into similar bands logo's so that when we make our new one we can go down a similar route to bands in the same genre. When we first did research into this genre we looked at bands such as Kasabian, Oasis and the Arctic Monkeys very similarly all of these bands have a very similar logo. Their logo consists of their name being written in very bold/rounded font in either black or white colour. The reason of just using these colour is because they will stand out and are seen as effective. The colours are also linked with the genre because these colours represent the band style and also the uniqueness of the band. When designing the logo it would be hard to use any other colours such as red/pink because many other colours are linked to closely with other things such as love/romance and could give away the wrong impression. Overall when looking at these logos they all definitely had their similarities therefore we decided to base ours on the similar sort of thing.
